This photo was featured on I Love Seascapes.
This shot was taken in August of 2011, at Carpinteria State Beach during a trip that we took to see friends. They were staying in the campground enjoying the beautiful weather. I worked as a lifeguard for 13 years and many of my days were at this beach. I loved to stay late at this beach because many of the days when it got windy I Ventura the weather was great at this beach.
About Ian Donley
I grew up in Ventura, California where I spent most of my time at the beach. I was a lifeguard for 13 years on the beaches of Ventura and Carpinteria. I've always been attracted to the water and the beauty of nature. I've been an amateur photographer for many years. A few years ago, I moved to the Portland, Oregon area with my wife and kids and it was there that I was inspired to begin painting. Currently we live in the Ventura area and I continue to paint.
